Brent Chancellor has been named Curator of New Music at Artpark, expanding the organization’s commitment to contemporary performance and interdisciplinary artistic collaboration.
In this new role, Chancellor will help develop and oversee innovative music programming, commissioning initiatives, and immersive concert experiences as part of Artpark’s ongoing artistic evolution. His appointment reflects Artpark’s continued investment in forward-thinking creative projects that connect music, technology, visual art, and the natural environment.
Chancellor brings depth and dimension to New Music in Western New York. His work has been featured at the Festival of New American Music, Festival of the Arts, Festival of Song, the Sacramento Film Festival, and New York’s Fashion Week, with premieres including works by Kaija Saariaho. Chancellor is recognized for blending orchestral performance with experimental sound design, environmental storytelling, and community engagement.
As Curator of New Music, Chancellor will collaborate with composers, performers, multimedia artists, and cultural organizations to create original experiences that expand the boundaries of traditional concert presentation while honoring Artpark’s longstanding reputation for artistic innovation.
