GERSHWIN Concerto in F
DEBUSSY Fêtes and Sirènes (from Nocturnes)

Jack Gibbons Piano
New Jersey Festival Orchestra

NJ Festival Orchestra’s 2016-2017 season begins dramatically with a spontaneous combustion of jazz and classical – a sparkling Gershwin program featuring two of the composer’s best-loved orchestral works. Also on the agenda is Claude Debussy’s orchestral “Nocturnes” (Fêtes and Sirènes), inspired by Whistler’s series of Impressionist paintings by the same title. With its vibrant colors, energy and contrasting rhythms, this opening celebration is sure to thrill.
