Conductor Brent Chancellor will join the International Vocal Arts Institute (IVAI) as the Conducting Fellow for the 2008 festival season.
Working closely with renowned Metropolitan Opera conductor Paul Nadler, Chancellor will assists in the musical preparation and performances of Donizetti’s Lucia di Lammermoor in Tel Aviv and Donizetti’s Don Pasquale in Montreal. Additionally, he will assist in opera galas, vocal concerts, and orchestral rehearsals featuring emerging singers from around the world. The appointment places him at the center of one of the opera world’s most respected young artist training programs, known for developing talent that later appears on the stages of the Metropolitan Opera, San Francisco Opera, and leading international companies.
