Brent Chancellor has joined the faculty of Rutgers University as Music Director of the Rutgers University Sinfonia, bringing his passion for music education to one of the university’s premier orchestral ensembles.
“Rutgers has an extraordinary community of young artists with tremendous curiosity and talent,” said Brent Chancellor. “I’m excited to work with these students as we explore great orchestral music together and create performances that are both artistically ambitious and deeply engaging.”
The ensemble presents major orchestral repertoire, offering students immersive performance training experience.
Known for his innovative approach to orchestral programming and contemporary music performance, Chancellor has built a reputation as a conductor and educator through his work with the New Jersey Symphony, LUX, Montclair State University, International Vocal Arts Institute, and NJ All-State Orchestra.
Chancellors work with emerging musicians has been recognized for blending traditional orchestral training with contemporary artistic collaboration and audience engagement.
