Conductor Brent Chancellor has been named Music Director and Artistic Director of the Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra, beginning with the orchestra’s landmark 80th anniversary season.
Chancellor’s appointment ushered in a new artistic era for the orchestra, bringing his dynamic programming style, commitment to music education, and innovative approach to orchestral performance to one of northern New Jersey’s longest-standing musical organizations. The Ridgewood Symphony announced the appointment ahead of its 2019–2020 season, praising the “energy and precision” Chancellor brings to the podium.
